Several guys have asked for photos of the HEYM Ejector / Extractor switch that's recessed in the forearm. I've finally gotten around to taking some photos and they can be seen in the 470 referenced below. Ejector Extractor switch

Looks like a very nice rifle..... How much force is required to move the switch? Could it be accidentally flipped?

I've tried every imaginable scenario in griping the gun and moving my hands up and down the forearm to try and get it to accidentally move, but I've never been able to make it move without intentionally moving it with the tip of my finger. The switch itself is recessed below the wood line, and it takes about the same amount of effort to move as a tang safety does. It also has positive detent stops at the “on†and “off†positions, so it can’t get caught in between. It’s not a necessity, but is a nice feature seldom seen on double rifles. At the range you’ve got extractors, and with the flip of the switch you’ve got ejectors in the field.

Sorry, 450... I won't have a 400 completed by then, but will have this one in 470 there for you to shoot.
