500 Nitro Express 570GR
[500N] $19.95

500 Nitro Express. 3 1/4. 570gr. Woodleigh. Price is for one (1) round.
This translates to $399.00 per box. This is about the same price as the 500 gr load. This is a steal compared to the 600 nitro load at 49.95 each or $999.00 per box of 20. Maybe they are just selling to the colectors.

I took a look at their 470 NE ammo - the only identifying information is a Woodleigh bullet. No manufacturer, no brass or primer ID.

From the blue box, looks homemade.

i looked under ammunition - on page 6

it shows a 500 ne round on a box of ammo and list a price of $19.95 it doesn't say anything there about quantity.

i don't know where you found the info that says price per round, but i didn't see it before .

seemed kinda cheap, but maybe there isn't as much demand as for 470.

.500 NE Brass is $41 for a box of 20, Woodleigh boolits are $1.25 each, powder and primer are about $0.30 per round, and a nice plastic box and label are about 3 bucks per box of 20. That's about $69 per box of 20, before paying for equipment amortization, labor and overhead.

Tom,
I agree that it is confusing how they show the price. on the other listing for .500 NE it shows the price per box. This one you have to click on the picture before it tells you it is per round.
Yes there isn't much load data about the ammo. I think they load it or have contractors load the odd stuff.

thanks for the click on the pic info !
i didn't know thatefore. so i'm not too old to learn.

in the beginning of the website they tell something about how they have odd ball ammo loaded up for them. interestingly the best seller is the 22 winchester automatic round.

they do offer some loaded rounds that seem unavailable elsewhere, so they can be a good resource,

Yes I noted they sell ammo for the 22 Savage Highpower. It didn't say, however, if it is loaded with the proper .228 dia bullets. If they are, I have a use for them! Confused

How many rounds are you looking for? I might be able to help you out. I distribute for Grizzly Cartridge Co. I can get custom loads for the .500 NE at reasonable prices. Let me know if you want Woodleigh, Hawk, Speer, etc and the quantity and I will get you some pricing. It's top quality.

Sounds like a box of someone's handloads?

If it is a single handload than I can sell a whole lot of neat stuff to you guys for $20/rd. Big Grin
