Fallow BuckSorry guys,
I edited the album title and so I lost all the links. It should be fixed now.
I lifted the last couple of pics from Digs website so I got more detailed than I bargained for.
I think I need to get out on some of those pigeons soon!!

Fallow BuckWe also completed the purchase on this little lot yesterday. I just got the photo's through this mng. I haven't seen them yet but I will be going to the Southern SxS this year and can't wait to look through the whole collection properly and shoot a few of them.

Fallow BuckHi Guys,
Yes it is indeed a beautiful collection and I was pleased that we could buy it. They are a mixture of shotguns and double rifles, but mostly shotguns. There was a Holland Rook rifle in the collection amongst others and also another double rifle, the specs of which I don't remember off the top of my head.
It has been an interesting couple of weeks where we've had a dozen interesting guns go through ourhands here in the UK apart from this collection so it is all good fun.
Sorry if this was the wrong forum but I figured the double rifle guys would be the ones that would appreciate these kinds of guns most. Let me know if I should move it to somewhere more appropriate?
Rgds,
Kiri

MertingRKFallowBuck,
Regardless of the appropriate forum those are beautiful guns. I look forward to seeing a few of them at the Southern Side by Side this month; especially the DRs.

Fallow BuckHi Robert,
I look forward to saying hello. Dig and I will have a table with a few guns on it. we are a little limited on what we are able to bring with us but we'll get as many as we can fit on the plane.
I should also have pictures of the new 470NE Westly Richards drop lock that was commissioned last week so I'll post some Double rifle pictures as it goes along so that I stay forum specific...

That Purdey looks like it has Damascus barrels. I would be very careful of shooting it.

Dago RedI'd love to hear the story on that lot of guns, maybe not the name of the person but i.e. "he was a duke, lord, sportsman, bricklayer, passion was hunting etc." always interested in what it takes to bring something like that together, finance, time and passion.
