What has worked out for you with the .318 8x60r in your double rifle?

What bullet/velocity?
What did you form your brass from?
Which powder/how much?
Which primer?
How accurate?

Thanks

This is really not an answer to your question as my 8x60rs was .323. I would imagine they would basically be the same except for bullet diameter. Mine was an Otto Geyger in perfect condition. I mounted a Leupold 1.5x5 VXIII on it. Brass was formed from 9.3x74r brass using RCBS forming dies and neck reamer. Bullets were 200gr Swift A-Frames and Nosler Partitions. Primers were Federal 210's and powder was 48grs
of IMR-4064.Load data was obtained from the Number 118 Nov/Dec 1985 issue of Handloader Magazine.Didn't really experiment much with loads as this load shot 1 1/4" groups from BOTH barrels. As I said these were for an 'S' bore and were worked up from rimless load data. I never had any factory ammo and never found ANY data for the rimmed version.Have regretted selling this rifle as it was truly a Best Grade rifle in all respects.

Thanks Zim-

Do you have a velocity spec for that load?
Do you recall your load having been slower than the published rimless load?

FWIW, the rifle I have has 26-1/2" barrels.

Velocity was 2400fps. Don't remember how long the Geyger barrels were, I would imagine around 26" or whatever the metric equivalet is. That load IS a rimless load. I never found ANY load data for the rimmed cartridge. Same with the current 8x57jrs I have. I just use the standard rimless data but stay on the low side. I think RWS still loads the 8x60 but don't believe it loads both .318 and .323. I have never seen a factory round personally.
