There will likely be another "HOOT & SHOOT" down Houston way sometime after the weather warms up a bit! These are fun shoots, with some friendly compition involved. Rusty will likely be in the know on that one! There's one in PA each summer that's really fun - usually about 8-10 rifles & shooters, and some GREAT food. Gentlemen Permission has just been granted by Bill, the owner, to hold a double rifle shoot at Deep River Sporting Clays in Sanford, N.C. (about 20 minutes south of Raleigh). This shoot will be held April 23,24,25 during the Southern Side by Side Championship & Exhibition. This "fun shoot" was held for the first time last year. A great time was had by all! Please start saving your empty plastic jugs to bring. These will be filled with water for targets. I will post more info once available. The Double Rifle Shooters Society in conjuction with the Accurate Reloading Big Bore Association will hold it's first "Hoot and Shoot" of 2010 the Last Saturday of April or the First Saturday in May. Thanks Rusty, Didn't know about the shoot last and had just gotten my DR. Would like to attend this year, Could you post the format for the shoot and the location by map or directions in the Houston area??? Also time of day expected as I have a 3 hour trip to Houston... Look forward to coming | |||
