tiggertateSpartan Double, RIP
After all the crap and waiting, Remington has offically notified certain suppliers and stocking dealers that the 45-70 Spartan double is dead. They won't say the 30-06 is out but it seems they won't say what decade it might appear.

Paolo9,5x73It's available in Europe as MP-221 'Artemida'. I hate to break it to you, but Remington does not have decades left.

MAYBE they are holding out for a 395 version. I'll officially start that rumor. Pressure concerns be damned, they plan to call it "THE RIPPER"...

Jim,
So that is what Remington R&D in Elizabethtown, Kentucky is working on!
I sent drawings of the .395 trio of bullets from GSC to them.
I was hoping for more but I'll settle for a .395/450 NE 2-inch in the Baikal.
Should be good with those cast bullets from Midway meant for paper patching. They are .395 caliber without the patch.
