My FFL confirms that a Butch Searcy-made rising bite double in .375 H&H flanged magnum has arrived and awaits pick up once I have a Washington DC gun license in hand, set for 5 August.

Leave for South Africa and Namibia on 7 August and will post pictures.

Regards, Tim

Tim,
I saw that gun when I was at Butch's place a couple of weeks ago. You're probably not gonna like it so just have him send it to me. I'll save you the heartache of having to shoot it. jumping

How long will it take Tim to get through the
legalities so he can take possession of his
rifle? (A stinkin' year? I HOPE not...)

D/R Hunter

Correct bullet placement, combined with the required depth of bullet penetration, results in an anchored animal...

And my screw grip 375 H&H Flanged soon after Dave's! Butch told me on the phone the other day that Tim's rising bite had gone out and that Dave's screw grip was soon to follow, but needed some engraving done on it first. Big Grin

Get it on the 5th and leave for Africa on the 7th?!!! That's pretty critical timing! Gun's going to be pretty tight.
