Lovely rifle, but it now needs some African dust, sweat and adventures to really make it into a fine rifle. Yes some of the bluing may fade, and the stock polish will become a bit duller and grime engrained in the checkering. If it's used properly it may get a knock or three. And over the next 100 or so years that case will only improve with age.

That will all make it even finer. Just look after it well and it will last your family at least 100 years if not more.

Heym sr20,
I do intend to use it in Africa frequently!
A safe queen it won't be!! I have a 6 yr old son who hopefully will hunt with it in the future when I get too old. I can't wait to take it to Africa next year.
I shot it today and it regulates beautifully.
I need to tweak my loads but it is a splendid piece of kit!!

I will post the target soon

Cheers

Nick

Well Morten.............yes there is !!!

There is a big brother coming as well!!

An identical rifle in 577 is in production.
It has the consecutive serial number, so in effect a matching pair so to speak.
I negotiated the deal to retain the consecutive serial number in the ledger as part of the original
Order. Was thinking of a pair of 500's , and then decided to go the different path.

Don't think that WR have done a one like this before.

I have seen pairs of 470, 500 and I pair of 600 is in production now,
But a matching 500 and 577 not as yet !!

What the hell, you only live once I say!!

Cheers

Nick

Morten, to answer your FB question earlier today about a proper splinter fore-end, look no further than Nick's new WR. What a beautiful rifle.
