How well are the Valmet O/U rifles regulated? Or do they have a barrel adjustment? They pop up fairly often for around a thousand dollars. Looks like they would be fun to play with if they can be made to shoot acceptably.

I have a Tikka 512SD (same as Valmet). Mine was easy to regulate, but the POI of the lower barrel can be adjusted by basically a wedge. Mine is in 9.3x74R but I also have a couple of barrel sets for it, as well as a QD scope mount. If you can find one for a grand more power to you. I would not sell mine for anything close to that. I love my rifle.

Little heavy and bulky but a sound rifle with lots of potential. Can be very accurate and easy to scope but mounts are expensive.
Sold mine and wished I had not.
If you can grab one in nice condition in 9,3x74R for a grand I would do it.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

here is a picture of mine:

I have a 12 ga. barrel set and a 12ga/7x57R barrel set. As has been pointed out, they are a bit heavy to carry around, but the accuracy and price combination are unsurpassed IMHO.
