OK, Will, I see the rest of your question here (after I wrote a reply and asked some questions on the other post. Your 'smith will mono block the barrels and thread, glue (epoxy), or do whatever to fit the new barrels to the mono block. Biakal is a very low priced shotgun so by using it I assume you want to do this on a budget. Why not use a stronger and better built action? I'm sure an old Savage sxs shotgun will work fine. Or, if very heavy barrels, such as on a waterfowl gun, they could be rifled as is. Then your smith will just have to regulate it per your load and add sights. Another thought is to find an old English 12-bore double rifle and have a go on that avenue. 12-bores don't command the high prices of the 8 bores and I bet that with some searching you can find one for a price that will be in the ballpark of your project when it is complete. PM me and I'll send you a pic of my 12-bore double, made in 1874. It will shoot six round balls in the same hole at 30 yards. And, to fill in a gap between the 12 and my 8 and 4, I'm looking at a 10-bore that is over seas now. Lots of advantages for a vintage double from the UK.
Back to your Biakal, if your rifle pressures are the same as the shotgun pressures, you won't have a problem. However, many gents undertake such a project to try to shoot at .460 Weatherby levels and problems will arise.

PM me and send your phone number and a good time to call. I'm on Alaska time. I've a good book on bore rifles and some of the info may be of interest to you but it all depends on what you are looking for. My only area of interest is vintage double rifles from the UK--not much else. Also, PM me your email and I'll shoot you some pics of my doubles. Last of all, tell me your budget and I can make some useful suggestions.
