A good friend is contemplating buying one of the Connecticut Shotgun RBL SABOT double 20GA guns. Does anyone out there have any expereince with one of these?? CS says they shoot the Win 20 GA SABOT Slugs and are quite accurate out to 125 yards. Buyer has been an old English double buyer/shooter but sold out...now shooting muzzle loaders...but this looks interesting!! I think he will mostly punch paper, but there are some big Black Bears out on the coast where he lives!! I have advised that a nice Verney Charron, Chapuis, or English hammar double instead?? Any thoughts appreciated. 470EDDY

Have your friend talk to G&H. They told me last year that they stopped selling them because of regulation issues. I have no first hand knowledge, never shot one, only handled one a few years ago. Not crazy about the looks of the regulation system (like a hose clamp at the muzzle), they never show it in the pictures. Ken DRSS, PP Chapter Life NRA Life SCI Life DSC

I havent heard anything about these since they posted them several years ago on the site. Russ Gould (doublegunhq)was offering an interesting shot and ball gun that was regulated for slugs and could be used as a shotgun also. Life Is For Service DRSS

JPK ordered one when they were first available. It is my understanding that it didn't live up to expectations, and went back! Could be wrong and it may have been someone else and a different gun, but JPK can tell you for sure! ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith
