I have a Chapius coming in 9.3 x 74. I emailed Woodleigh and asked which projectile I would get the most penetration with and this is what he answered. Might be helpful.
I will bring my 9.3 with me to Africa in 08.

The 9.3 x 74 is usually standardised on 286gr bullets. As you are aware we make a traditional round nose and a more pointy protected point.
Both are weldcore ie. bonded core.
The PP would have more penetration than the round nose, although we have had good reports on round nose on buffalo.
Regards,
Geoff McDonald.

don't forget the 300 gr A frame. in my beretta it hits to the same impact as the 286's and gives lots more performance than the woodleighs.

I loaded some of Mike's solids for my Zim trip in May but ended up using my 450/400 3 1/4". The buffalo was close enough for it's open sights. Eight steps away. I could see him well.
