Sally and I leave Thursday morning to head to Cape Town for a few days before meeting up with Katte. We are going to Pilanesberg Nat'l Park to do the tourist safari segment first. Is it bad form in the parks to point at the critters and go 'pow'? We'll then go to Katte's for the hunt. The Hollis is back in shape and shooting well, so it's going to make the trip. I'll be praying to the patron saint of luggage for safe transit. Bringing along fly rods to go after the yellowfish in the Vaal River. From photos, they look like a snook crossed with a carp. They are supposed to be very strong fighters. After Katte's we'll go back to Cape Town for a few days before returning. I'll be thinking of you DRSS guys. The shrinkage went away when I started to shoot the Hollis again. Palmer, I'm bringing some Tony's seasoning and Zatarian's fish fry flour. They also have monster catfish that will take a fly, so I'm hoping to do a fish fry. Bob | |||
