What is the difference between these two models. The 140A and the 140-2 ? Do both have intercepting sears ? A famous mom said: Stupid is, who stupid does.

I could be wrong but I don't think either one has intercepting sears! ...................................................................... ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith

The 140A is the 140Model (A+D type but not a 100% copy) for an African cartridge (375HH and larger), only extractor gun. The 140-2 is a model definition of the USA importer usually used for a better engraved or octagon barrels etc. It only exist in USA. The 140 models are biuld up to 9,3 have usually ejectors, the old 140A not. The USA importer use the 140-1 or 2 also on gun for African calibers! Form the Merkel range you have min to get a 160 model, the 140 model is not that great (trigger pull). When looking for a A+D type the Heym is by far better.
