Which reloading press do you recommend for 3-1/2" case (450 N.E. No2). I currently use a Redding T-7 press and am able to use it, but have to barely screw in the die. Not the best set up.

Thanks

I use RCBS for my no 2. I forgot the model, but call huntingtons, they know. It was designed for the BMG but works great on the 3.5 inch cases. And for all cases, for that matter.

RCBS Ammomaster is what I use now that I need to accommodate a 4-bore.
I used the Lee Classic Cast press for years.
CH Tool (4D-CH) also makes a huge press which is actually overkill but is the biggest and strongest in the business.

I use the old standard RCBS Rockchucker. Just have to tilt the case a bit in the shell holder to seat the bullet. You tilt the case out of the way and push the bullet into the seating die. Then let the case stand upright and the bullet drops into the top of the case.

For the big stuff, (.505 Gibbs, etc.), I use the RCBS Ammomaster. It's big enough for most anything, and also versatile, since you can change out the top plates, giving you the option to use a variety of threadings. Here's mine:

I was lucky enough to buy a retired elephant hunter's RCBS Ammomaster for my .450 No. 2.

+3 on the Ammomaster. I love the bushing at the top that allows me to use 1.25" push dies for my Paradox as well.

Big Will:
The Lee Class is will take up to an 8.
The Ammomaster and the press from 4D-CH will take up to 4 bore.
In my Ammomaster I have bushings for 7/8", 1", and 1 1/4" dies and when the bushings are removed, the hole is for 1 1/2" dies for the 4-bore.

DM:
What is the gap in the Big Max press? I wanted one but they are not made and I settled for the Ammomaster which is big and versatile but really is a cheaply made piece of crap.

I'll have to measure it and let you know...

I bought it back in the day, to "bend" tubing to form into "jackets", for the bonded core bullets I use to swage and sale...

Redding Ultramag works well for me on the .475 No 2 cases and has the priming arm on the downstroke.
