Yes..'spoke' to him a month back. He is slow as always and his english is at about the same level as my german...but for exotic or odd cases I prefer his stuff to Bertram...I just don't always like his price

I sure hope he is still in business. He made a run of 400/360 brass for me and some buddies a few years back. Great brass.

What makes it so good? Is it turned from bar stock? What makes it good? Small buisness- close attention to detail in the annealing process during drawing, and strict adherence to CIP cartridge specifications. Tend to get about 5-10 shots more out of his cases than I do out of BB in my 577/450. Also had a bunch of Dud .425 WR from BB (but that was in the late 90's) Have tended only to buy Bertram when I couldn't get from Hornerber or needed cases 'now'.

Guyana You have contradicted yourself with the above and then the post above this one. If Hornerber didnt pay "close attention to detail in the annealing process during drawing, and strict adherence to CIP cartridge specifications" then he could charge like BB does. Based on your comment of 5 - 10 more shots out of the Horneber, doesn't that work out as cheaper brass in the long run - and less time and effort in making it all fit (knowing that BB brass often needs smoothing out, sizing, flash hole reaming and trimming of length). I compared the price of brass of Bell and RWS and to the price of Bertram (firsts, not seconds). In the end it Bell / RWS worked out cheaper because of the number of shots per case. .
