scoping a merkel

OK now that i learned how to do a picture. I mentioned a few times of how i scoped my merkel. (yes there are those of us out here that don't see so good anymore) Chucked up in a bridgeport its a fairly easy job to cut a couple dovetail slots into the rib (its a solid rib) and then a set of leupold detachable rings fit fine. Pict. #2 is the front sight with a fiber optic piece milled in.

Is there any "recoil shoulder" on those mounts or does only the clamping action hold them in place durring firing?

Are you sure those are Leupy rings - they look like Warne to me.

antlers - you're right these are warnes, and no there is no recoil shoulder, haven't had them move in the 5 years or so they've been on.
