Well, I guess we all get caught with too many favorites. Its my turn. My first DR is taking second place to my new Heym 470...IN LH CONFIGURATION. So my Chapuis RH has to leave. Its really a great shooter...was for me, and for Scottyboy, who I bought it from.....take a look. Bob DRSS DSC SCI NRA & ISRA

Bob, A little off topic, but how did you like the red dot on your Chapuis? I have a Recknagel red dot mount for mine but haven't sprung for the sight yet. NRA Endowment Member DRSS

The red dot sights work great for me, a guy with aging eyesight. Its too difficult to get QUICK alignment between front and rear open sights for me. The red dot is there on the target as you bring the rifle up into position. Red dots are now on my Heym 470 and 500. But not all red dots are created equal...in my opinion the Leupold is the best optically of the the reflex group including the Trijicon (I have one of those also after waiting 4 months and a string of broken delivery promises from Trijicon).
