Couple of questions about these rifles. Read they are regulated for Winchester 300 grain ammo, what type of performance can be expected? Wouldnt mind buying a 45-70 for the price but not looking for anemic performance. Anyone do any load developement with heavier bullets? Not interested in getting the 9,3 as I already own a Chapuis.

Is the rear sight adjustable for windage?

Any of you lefties ever shoulder one of these rifles? I realize they have a right hand cheek piece but am wondering how they would fit a left handed shooter.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Rich (Idaho Sharpshooter) checked one of these out for me at the Boise Cabelas. While I can't answer two of the three questions, Rich told me that the rear site was adjustable for windage by driftin it left or right in its dovetail.

I suspect, but don't know for certain, that the answer to your first question is "yes" they can be loaded to regulate with heavier bullets. I plan to do exactly that.

Good luck,

Paul

Paul,
Did you order one of these in 45-70?

Doc,

when you call Frank, ask for the one with the darker grain, or I can run over again and take an in depth look at them both.
