I never was able to contact Butch by phone however
I used the email address on his website and got a response:

Randall
I'm no longer in business.
Butch

Well, I certainly like my rifle but would like to know
who is now trusted to take care of any service issues I may encounter.

In my case, the rifle (470 NE) shoots great however it is now a little harder to open
to have the ejectors kick the empty cases out. It still works, but it is not as smooth and
easy as it once was.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

You might reach out to JJ Perodeau at 580-747-1805...

It’s quite obvious he is no longer in business. The question was for suggestions of other trusted gunsmiths to tune up a double. No close look at that post you reposted would answer that.

would be good if he put that notice on his website!

My understanding is that he sold the business and there will be a new owner/operator.

It is very sad to see him out of the business. He produced a top notch rifle and I wish him the best.

Sent an email to Butch who has the rifle he made for me for sale. He is shipping it to me. Reckon I'll advertise it here when I can.

I have two of Butch's doubles. A 450-400 and a 375 Flanged. I love both of them. They are seriously accurate and a pleasure to look at and to shoot. tu2

Butch has got to be over 80 years old now. The first time that I met him he was 64 and that was over 15 years ago.
