Anyone know of anywhere that carries them? If not, can 3" be used as a substitution? Thanks!

"If not, can 3" be used as a substitution?" Depends how made and if the Rim is for the 3" version which won't fit in the 3.25" version. I think A Zoom might make cheap ones. Galazan might make them. .

1. Resize a couple pieces of brass. 2. Drill out the primer hole to accept a 1/4x20 thread. 3. Run a tap through the hole 4. Buy a couple of white plastic 1/4x20 flat head screws (found at any Home Depot or Lowes) and put them in your drill and sand down the heads until they fit inside the case mouth. 5. Drop the screws inside the case and tighten them. 6. Cut the screw flush with the case head. I know it is not what you asked, but for under $1 you have two snap caps. If you wear them out, just replace the plastic screws. If I can do it anyone can My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Yea, but you have to use the right brass or it will not work Mike My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Go to your local hardware store and pick up a couple of brass or copper picture frame hanger nails. Make sure they fit the diameter of your primer pocket. Also get a tube of silicone sealant. At home, remove the primer from the resized case. Squeesze some silicone in to the primer pocket and wait a little to let it start setting up. Take your nail and push it through the silicone so the nail head sits in the primer pocket like a primer would. Wipe away the excess silicone and let it set up. You now have a snap cap that will give a little because the silicone is flexible enough to take up the shock and the brass or copper nail will last forever. And if it wears out, pull it out and do the same thing all over again. Be sure to run the nail through the primer hole and make sure it fits before you put in the silicone. I had to drill out my primer flash hole just a touch to make a friction fit. I have made acouple out of resized brass, and have added a bullet to practice quick reloads. I have drilled a couple of holes across the case so no chance of mixing with live ammo.

Try Tony Galazan. If they don't have 450/400 3.25", the 450NE 3.25" will be the exact same size. They are about 2" long, so they end before the neck down starts. ND Stephen Grant 500BPE Joseph Harkom 450BPE
