Some of you may recall the problem I had with the front trigger on my Merky .500NE being too soft, gradually bending and causing an uncomfortable double discharge. My good friend made me a new trigger, and I finally have the rifle back in the bush. Even so, it took me twenty-five kilometres of walking spread over a few mornings and afternoons before I found something I wanted to shoot. Meg did a pretty good job taking photos of the adventure. One Woodleigh solid at about fifty metres did the trick, plus an insurance shot. It was a great day for me: I also killed another good bull with my longbow. Anyway, I hope you mob enjoy the photos Meg took. Good hunting!

I love my hands in guts the best. Well, only the left one; my right one holds the knife.

Thanks, fellows. Yes, backstrap! Love it! I enjoy making buffalo curries, but my favourite is Mexican-style buffalo-and-beans for tortillas, nachos or roast potatoes. I'm not clever enough yet to do a good steak. Buffalo steaks are easy to get wrong.

G'day Adam, no I don't. However, a friend from RSA showed me how, and it was delicious. Just haven't had time yet.
