Happy Easter to all. Just got back from Louisville celebrating my wife's last birthday. We went to the Frazier museum and saw President Roosevelt's 500/450 Royal. I felt like a pilgrim that had been on a journey to see a holy relic. If anyone wants pictures of the Big Stick pm me email or iPhone number. Thank you very much for the photos  I find it interesting that the Roosevelt H&H is a non detachable sidelock in 500/450 3 1/4”, built right at the time Holland’s released their detachable sidelocks and the 500/465 cartridge. IIRC they had to make him a complete new for end including Metalwork due to wear on his safari, maybe from carrying on horeseback? I would love to get a copy of In The Blood which featured this rifle in the hands on Roosevelt’s great grandson on an African hunt. Regards, Chris DRSS | |||
