good and bad with underlever and self opening? I have used self opening on a Purdey shotgun but never on a double.

The underlever action is very strong...albeit a bit slower..

But man...what a rifle...

Nothing bad there, A.D., underlevers are solid lock-up and assisted opening is cream in the coffee. Best of both worlds. Have a friend that owns one in .450 No.2 and there was one for sale in an auction in Sweden in 2013 in .450 No.2 that went for $20K.
