I've heard of a couple of Charles Daly O/U Empire rifles that might come up for sale. The info I have is that the fellow may have a double rifle and a combination gun available. I Know nothing about them. I am familiar with Charles Daly and KBI Companies. They were located not far from here and imported a lot of stuff that varied considerably in quality, excellent to less than perfect. Curious if anyone here has experience with the Empire Rifles. Quality any good? Who made them? Are they scopeable? How do they shoot? Thanks Bfly Work hard and be nice, you never have enough time or friends.

I was watching the one on GB too. It's a Sabatti, AND Chas Daly is out of business. Forget about it.

Thanks guys. I don't know if this guy is going to sell them or not. I looked at the photos of the ones on GB to try to see the action. Knowing they are Sabattis kind of takes them off my radar. I would have concerns about buying a used Sabatti, without shooting it, based on experiences by other fourm members. Doubles can be like a redheaded girlfriend. No sense starting a relationship with one that might need meds. Charles Daly was just up the road from where I live. Met the folks that ran it a few times. More than once, they told me that they were importers, not manufacturers. They were nice people. Chas Daly is not longer in busines. I think they reformulated and opened as KBI, but believe they also closed down. Bfly Work hard and be nice, you never have enough time or friends.
