I am iterseted in acquiring an american made DR, which manufacture would you suggest, what modle, what caliber, etc... kinda new to all of this and would like a honest opinion. Thanks in advance. | ||

If you're really serious about this, Butch Searcy may not be exactly the only game in town but a lot of people here on AR believe that Searcy is the only game worth signing up for. If at all possible financially, please consider a new Searcy as opposed to a used one. Knowledgeable folks say recent quality/reliability is much better than previous. All anecdotal, of course. Who does long-term tests on DR's? | |||

What beast(s) will you hunt with it? If nothing dangerous the caliber choices guys tend to ponder are very different from those when dangerous game is the target. Then there's the O/U or SxS question. Why do you want USA made? It's a big world... Jack OH GOD! {Seriously, we need the help.} | |||
