The work looks to be well done, but the contour of those barrels looks pretty thick.

I would say it's going to shoot well enough, but it's going to handle like a club. However, the price may negate a bit of the poor handling.

I would estimate the velocity of that load in that gun [short barrels] to be around 1850 to 1900fps.

My load in my 450 No2 is 88 gr of RL 15 with 500gr Hornadays.

I agree with Tony about low velocity, but would bump the expected f.p.s. by about 50. You may wish to try to contact the seller and ask if he has any figures on that.

You many be able to get a "regulatable" load with 450 or 480 grain bullets and keep the pressures the same as with the original regulation, however... say, about 2050 fps if you fool around with it enough.

I sure would make sure to use fillers in that big case with that load, too.

Let us know if you buy it! You may have a real sleeper.

Thanks a lot gentlemen! I did not buy it and actually did not have an intention to buy. I have not much experience in doubles, especially in conversions, so I've decided to ask a Guru.
Thanks again, Andrew
