Nice buff, but that rifle's so pretty it's almost pornographic...

GREAT JOB, Chris....I thought you might be "over there". I recognize that piece of wood you used for the stock....sweet as ever.
I'm shooting for one buff....and I'd take either that you got.
Take care....I'll call when I get back.

Bob - I loaded my own. Hornady Brass, Fed 215s, and H4831. The bullets used were Hornady's new DGS solids and Swift softs (both 400gr). I wanted to take some of the DGX (softs) from Hornady, but couldn't get my hands on them quickly enough.

Both of these bullets shoot very well in this rifle and chrono just above 2100 (26" bbls.)

Thanks Chris, My 10.75x68 is at the stock makers as we speak. The 2100fps can be easily duplicated in the 10.75 with 400gr bullets. I am delighted to see how well this combo performed on buff. Thanks again, Bob

It's definitely a nice round. Light recoil makes for lots of practice and quick follow-up shots too.

Ditto's Will, every buff I've shot has been somewhat anti-climatic because I've watched too many MS movies in the past. I keep thinking we need to put another 2000+ grains of lead into the critters before they go down.

Beautiful - sadly those green bark shades and redish brown clay darken or gets lost while boling.
