Hello,

Wohooo! After watching this rifle http://forums.accuratereloadin...381000901#3381000901 for a few months, I decided to take the plunge. John sold this amazing rifle to me!

As stated on past posts, I have a blaser 470 that just did not fit me well. Having shopped for doubles in Reno, in my opinion the Heym is head and shoulders above the other "production" rifles. They are sweethearts. I have wanted one ever since.

My blaser needs a new home. It can be seen at http://www.ivorybeads.com/site...p?Page=54&FSID3=2759. But in the mean time, I am the proud owner of two fine double rifles. Can this be a good thing?

My sweetheart arrived at the FFL yesterday. Even prettier than her photos!

The previous owner installed a mercury recoil reducer in the stock. IMO, it is a great way to go. Did not disrupt the balance, which was a concern. She fits and shoulders like a dream. He also installed a flip up front ivory bead. This may be standard on some rifles, but what a great touch.

The wood is SO much prettier than the photos. It really accentuates what the Heym is all about - classic, elegant and understated. Could not BE happier.

My buddy John375 just bought the same rifle. We only have 11 months before we are off to Zim for ele and buff.

We need to work up some practice loads, then some full house rounds.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Congratulations. The Heym is a great double.

Once you get good loads, take it on a few pig hunts.

It will be well worth the money spent...

Plus wild Pig meet is very good to eat
