Just received from a good friend and Double GURU... Canada just issued another list of prohibited firearms. Some based on evil looks, others based on energy ratings of the cartridge. Buy back list shows Purdey double rifles generating over 10k joules of energy will be bought back for$117000, Canada dollars. And the plan for disposal is to give them to the Ukraine! No kidding This would be the Purdey 600 NE!!  WOW!! Those Ruskies better watch out for these artillery pieces to show up on the battlefields!!... if they can find ammo??!! 470EDDY | ||

The funny thing it that Holland and Holland, Westley Richards, Army & Navy, several other British trade makers and Continental makers also built 600NE's... why only Purdey?? This is all based on muzzle energy of the cartridges, stated in Joules (.735 conversion to FP)... so what about 460 Weatherby, and 700NE... there has to be some of those in Canada too??!! They also have added the PARKER shotguns in 8GAUGE...so how about the 8Bore Doubles, and heavens... the 4 Bore??!! What a rat race sham!! 470EDDY | |||
