I didn't know anything about double rifles until I joined this forum in Oct. 2007, but you guys gave me a low grade fever for a DR that wouldn't go away. So, today I sent the money to Kebco for one of those neat little Chapuis DR in 9.3 x 74R. I hope I'm cured.

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! Rather than a 470 for your next one, I'd suggest you try to get a 450 DR of any flavor but most probably it would be a 450 NE since that's the most common chambering. Shooting 458 bullets are a helluva lot cheaper than 475's especially if you get any kind of quantity.

If you own a gun and you are not a member of the NRA and other pro 2nd amendment organizations then YOU are part of the problem.

Congrats on a good rifle. Ken has a great price on those.

I started off with a 9.3 chapuis and have graduated to a 470 and a 450/400 (had to sell the 9.3 to afford the 450/400). \

Don't kid yourself and think that you've filled that void with one little 9.3. Pretty soon you'll be rationalizing about buying a big boy stopper. Have fun and good luck keeping it from the woman.

And here you go for your new obsession...

Eland at 50 yards is the next step. You go Big bore in 5 years for a ten year run and then you go back to wanting you 9.3 or .360 so just dont sell this Chapuis trust me LOL

I went to the Sportsmans Show last weekend in Portland OR. There was a booth and a rep there from Holland and Holland. He had some beautiful long guns, shot guuns, Bolt Rifles and Double guns. I found my .470 NE. It was only $42,000.00. Not bad. Costs more than my Truck!
