Buy 500 Basic brass and size it down.

Or if you get really stuck, buy 500/450 brass
and expand it.

Maybe ask Jamieson ? (Thread on AR re the new brass).

Do Hornady make 500 Brass ?

Also, worth buying a couple to test first
as not all guns made have the same chamber / rim size.

I did not think of 500 basic...just assumed about the 500 3" and it was too short. I will call jamieson and ask about some correct headstamped brass... just did not know if there was other sources aval.

Biebs.... Wink...maybe...

Thanks,

Ed

You could also just get some Hornady .470 brass and run it through your .465 sizer die. That would probably be the least expensive and most satisfactory option.

The problem with resizing other brass is the headstamp will not match the rifle. Not a problem unless you are traveling with the rifle. I have been using the Bertram in my Holland and Holland and it seems to perform just fine. Admittedly I have only resized the brass a couple of times so not clear how it will hold up over the long term. Would be great to get Jamison making it.

For use within one's own country I'd stick with the much easier
to find 470 NE stuff from the brand that's easiest for you to get.

Correct bullet placement, combined with the required depth of bullet penetration, results in an anchored animal...
