Well I finally have my VC 500 NE and head off to Africa Saturday to hunt Elephant with a double rifle for the first time. All the kinks are worked out and All I can say is wow. I made a good move buying a Merkel to shoot while the VC was being made as there is a definite learning curve to DR shooting. I would like to thank my good friend Larry Shores for all the help along the way. Also Todd Williams, Mike Jines, Cal Pappas, Double Don, MacD37 and some I am leaving out. Todd the offer to load ammo for Larry and I when we were having trouble with Hornady factory loads was incredible. I was remiss in not thanking you sooner. All of you gentlemen have been generous with your time and your advice and I thank you. I have practiced hard and I feel that I am prepared. I am sure I have a TON of room for improvement but for now I am servicable. Again my sincere thanks. Jeff Sevor | ||

Jeff - relish every single moment of hunting with your double rifle in Africa- there is nothing else like it. Be safe, and shoot straight.... as my Marine buddy says, "as long as there is lead in the air, there's hope." I look forward to your stories and photos when you return. | |||
