AR'ers,

You've got to see this!

http://68.167.203.107:8050/FMPro?-db=GMA_Inventory.fp5&...RecID=12586445&-Find

This is the most "gawdy" DR I have ever seen...

...Wonder if anybody we know will end up owning it??? Wink

Actually, I can't decide if it is gaudy, or simply over the top. It is certainly no worse than some of the modern high end shotguns coming out of Italy. Imagine that you take away the gold overlays and most of the scenic engraving on the barrels. If you look at the pictures and imagine those deletions, it would be a really stunning big bore in my opinion. It looks like someone got carried away.

The other thing is that it appears to me that this ornate work was done recently. Whether all the engraving was done or it was originally tastefully engraved and this was overlaid over it, I can't tell.

I second the bit that it would be stunning, if not for all the gold. Frankly, it's liveable, but not something I'd particularly want to own... of course, if it went cheap enough...

What about the HH 375 2 1/2. I kinda like it, but still a bit too much.

I've messed with those....They're way cool and actually reasonably priced for what they are...

...They also make a really cool standard DR as well...

Thanks for the vid!

It's cool, but the fact that they send the case to Juarez to be re-lined (read: Low-ride-uh) puts me off the deal.

I handled that 600 a few years ago at the Vegas show. It is a beautiful work of art.

Jeff, as I recall the wood is as nice as the rest.

five, the price will be determined at the auction, presale estimate is $100-$120K, far less than replacement cost.

If I remember correctly, the rifle was commissioned by a sports figure, a pro football player I think.

Is that .600 made in Gardone at Via Artigiani 93?
A guy from Dubai might buy that 'Koh-I-Noor'.

Actually, I think that the 375 x 2 1/2 is the better deal. 100 years old!
