I am buying my first double rifle a Heym PH in 450 NE, from Lou, an Accurate Reloading member with the handle LJS.

I can't wait to shoot it. It should be great fun in Africa in 2011.

Thanks Lou!!

Go Duke!!

The Heym is a most excellent double rifle...

The 450 3 1/4" is a most excellent calibre for elephants and cape buff...

The ONLY thing that double rifle needs is a ticket to Africa... Big Grin

Congratulations on a very nice rifle and caliber choice. Assuming the gun fits you, it should be really pleasant to shoot. Handloading or factory rounds?

Check out the .450 NE A-Zoom snap cap thread in Classifieds. They would be nice for your new DR.

Use a double rifle. It just feels better.

Great rifle. Where in Texas are you located? We need to get a bunch together for a shoot.

I can not wait to shoot it. It arrived about 10 days ago, but I've been so busy with a cub scout camp, work and now spring break vacation. I also had to cheer my Duke Blue Devils through the ACC Tournament.

I added a couple pics below. She is a Heym 450 3 1/4 Nitro Express, and weighs a little under 10 pounds empty. She has great handling.

I can't wait for the April Hoot-n-Shoot.
