Does anyone have any history on this gun? It is a Jeffery DR in .333 Jeffery, being listed by Jack Dudley, Cabelas Scarborough, Maine. Thanks for any info you might have on this gun.

Unless you can evaluate the bores and see the barrel flats all the rest is just curb appeal.

If it has good bore and regulates as it should all else is "eye of the beholder" stuff.

Looks like a scope mount system has been added. You might ask if the rifle has been "refurbished" and the case coloring has been redone.

If you are considering buying it it need to be checked out by some one like JJ at Champlin Firearms, Enid, OK.

I've dealt with Jack on a few big ticket items; up front, nice guy to deal with. He gave me the info I asked for, for what it is worth. Make sure to talk to him, though....

I spoke with Griffin and Howe who had it just prior to Cabelas and it sounds like a dog due to bore condition. Unfortunately, it's on consignment so if you want to see it you have to pay for it upfront.

Thanks .470Evans for the info. I kinda suspected as much. Think I'll leave it alone.
