Attempting to eliminate some local, wild swine, I mounted an illuminated, 30mm 1-4.5x scope on top of a Baikal MP221 via a Picatinny adapter which clamped onto the back of the Russian's 11mm-rimfire rail via four hex bolts. With all steel parts it stood up to recoil just fine but raised the height of the scope up far too high. I would like to eliminate the base/rail but it seems like I would need to use rimfire rings on the Baikal and am not sure they will be sturdy enough. Anyone have any remedies? Thanks. DRSS N.W. At the top end is this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/150984...id=p3984.m1423.l2649 I haven't tried them but I think these will fit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hawke-...sd%3D111167551078%26 I used a pair of these on each of my Baikals and they seem to be working just fine. http://www.ebay.com/itm/181291...id=p3984.m1423.l2649 NRA Endowment Member DRSS

Thanks. I immediately ordered the quick release base, seems like the perfect solution. Can't wait to try it and continue to harass the local boars here in N.W, Louisiana. Much obliged! DRSS N.W. Louisiana

I bought a Diana air rifle .22 rail mount. It comes with a vertical screw that locks into the groove right at the start of the rail. Never moved a millimeter. Similar to this. Note the vertical screw in the second pic: http://www.ebay.com/itm/One-Pi...3L-LOW-/171130135725
