Perhaps a dumb question... but can a 3" 450-400 be shot in a gun chambered for 3 1/4" | ||

Chris, The 3" has a thicker rim, 2/100ths of an inch thicker I think. Also the shoulder on the 3" starts farther from it's rim than that of the 3 1/4 inch design. The later has a VERY long neck. Neither will work in the other's chambers. The longer is reported to give 25 FPS higher velocity, a non-issue. Jack OH GOD! {Seriously, we need the help.} | |||
