Well, not a rifle, but a little 28ga Arrietta Orvis Sidelock shotgun. Guess I could shoot slugs in it! Cool

Just received it yesterday. Mucho fun!

Sweet!

Those little 28's can be addictive. I started off with a Savage Milano and now keep an eye out for a baby frame Beretta O/U or a nice Spanish SxS that won't break the piggy bank.

Best Regards,

Nice looking shotgun. Are you sure you can handle the recoil of that 28 guage? That might leave a mark. You probably need to send it to me so I can test it for you don't ya think??? dancing

Well, if it's too much, I can always fall back on the "Scoped 375"! stir

I was hoping I didn't break any super secret protocol by posting a lowly SG on the DR Forum. So far, so good. Haven't gotten spanked yet by the moderators! sofa

How's the shoulder Pagosa? Aren't you rehabbing from an operation? I'll keep those little 470's running for you if they start getting cabin fever!

Cheers,

Todd

Shoulder's doing much better. Don't get to give it a workout with firearms until the first of August but that gives me a bunch of time to make sure I have enough ammo loaded for all my guns. Did get cleared to shoot a .22 pistol right handed(Wheeeeeeeeee!) And I can shoot small rifles, 22 and 223 left handed. But for me it is a waste of ammo left handed.
Surely you wouldn't stoop to shooting my .470's. The Searcy is back with Butch for a tune up and a longer stock. Hopefully it will be ready when I am but I'm not gonna rush him. That probably won't be the first rifle I shoot when I'm able. Thanks for asking

I don't do much shotgunning at all but a lot of that is that all the shotguns I do have are either "Tacti Cool" home defense guns or full sized 12ga rigs like the Browning Auto 5 my Dad gave me. So I've been looking around for awhile for something light to take to the dove fields in September. Looked at the AYA #2 in 20ga and really liked it. Almost "pulled the trigger" on that one. When this one popped up, and didn't break the bank, I couldn't resist this time.

Shot a couple rounds of Sporting Clays with it prior to purchasing. It's just a fun little gun that seems to get the job done as well. I'm thinking it doesn't give up much to the 20ga!
