Your rifle is an execptional purchase. I believe everyone's double rifle is the best in the world because it is your rifle. I used the, "wish I could say more" language because I thought congratulations was insufficient for the occasion. I cannot remember not wanting a double. I grew up hoping, but not expecting I would ever possess my own double. When I did the experience was almost overwhelming when the hard work and dreaming became a reality.

I figure the purchase of your Merkel was similar. So, now I have said too much. Please share your hunts, shoots, and rifle with us. I never get tired of it.
