Denmark: Isn't this really an 88b? And how does it look from the pictures? Looks a little worn to me, but price is 5245 usd.

Condition from pictures?

A look at the pix of the 500/450 suggests the Belgian-proofed gun has seen some hard use, at the very least enough moisture to cause significant pitting on the barrel flats. Was not able to read the proof marks sufficiently well to understand if the reproof (crown over R) was due to rechambering or what.

Seller states that the barrels are mirror and that the rifling is deep and good. He notes no play, suggesting the rifle is still on the face.

Don't know about this one. I have a 500/450 and have used it against buffalo and elephant, and the price is low at 3,900 euros, but I'd have someone knowledgeable look at this rifle before I'd even think of bidding on it.

Regards,
Tim

Agree with Tim.

Looks like the gun has been left wet and got some pitting and then been restored.
