Hey guys, has anyone ever seen a Beretta double barrel 12 ga. with Rifle Sights? I seem to remember seeing a few years ago at a gun show, but can't find anything about it anywhere. Anyone ever see one? Were the barrels rifled? or smoothbore? Thanks Ken

Of couse Beretta does make double rifles and for awhile they were pushing there ejector guns when the Krieghoffs were first coming in country. FWIW in 2000 Francotti in Italy made some up for euroguns.com the barrel were "etched" rifling or smooth and not fully rifled or semi rifled like a paradox gun. the barrels where short and the guys were calling it the poormans double rifle and some of the PH at the SCI show were calling them leopard guns. They were real light and kicked like &%%* we test fired one in Houston with a guy that bought one and I decided to finish shooting the day with my 500NE as it hurt less.

Greetings: I believe that Sabatti makes such a 12 ga. double that they call the leopard gun. A picture and data is on their web site. I don't know who is the US importer. There was one on one of the auction sites last year for about $950.00 It should make a great boar gun for close quarters Cheers, Luke

Ken, Beretta makes the 471 Silver Hawk Slug. I think this is the gun you are referring to. You can see it at their Italian website. Lefteris.

BigLuke thanks it was Sabatti that I was refering about. It has been driving me crazy trying to remember that leopard gun. If I remember right they are very open to visitor at the factory in Italy and usually have a booth at Shot Show in the italian area. I believe it is 2 sisters running the show now at the factory and I do know that they are set up for importing for 2-3 gun orders.
