Folks I'm totally computer illiterate and have some pictures that I need to E-mail to oryxhunter1983 and I have tried several times to send them to him by E-mail. No dice!

People are always asking me for pictures but I simply have not been able to figure out the process on my own. I have two sons who are computer whizzes but they are always busy, and live hundreds of miles away from me.

What I need is a detailed step by step list of the moves in "ENGLISH", (computereze may as well be Greek) to accomplish this seemingly easy process (FOR SOME FOLKS) If it matters I'm on AOL e-mail account. My E-mail address is: DUGABOY1@aol.com

1. Find out where, on your hard drive, photos are stored. Almost invariably, a photo will be a file that ends in ".jpg."
2. Open your email software. Fill in the email address of the person to whom you want to send the photo[s].
3. Somewhere on your screen will appear "Attach" or words to that effect. Left click there.
4. A screen will come up with various locations on your computer. Find the one where the photos are, and left click that.
5. Now, thumbnails, or names, or both, of your pics will be on screen. Left click the ones that you want to email.
6. Go back to your email. The pics should be identified where the word "attach" is. That means that thery are attached.
7. Send the email.

I also use AOL and can give you the easy way to do it:

a) write your email but don't send it;
b) add a linefeed or carriage return; that is, the "enter" button at the very end of your text;
c) then, click on the right button of your mouse. You will see a prompt that has a whole list of things you might do including "insert a picture"
d) scroll down to that using your arrow key, and click on the left button of your mouse;
e) that will take you with no further ado to the documents library or my documents, depending on whether your computere uses windows 7 or windows xp. Then you go to where you have put your pictures;
f) select the picture you want by left clicking on it, and then left click on "save" in the lower right corner of the screen
g) you are returned to your aol message and see that the screen has a large message that asks whether you want it "optimized" for email transmission, or whether you want to send the full sized file. If it's just to share a picture with family and/or friends choose the first option to optimize the file; if you want serious reproduction, choose the second option "full size." You left click on whichever you choose and the picture is added to the email itself.
h) Finally, send your email

(A separate way to send pictures is to use the "attach file" that is among the things on your aol "write" screen, but that means the picture is not seen when your recepient opens your email -- the recepient has to download it, and it means that you always send a full-size file...)

Does this mean you can now post photos of some of your cape buffalo from back in the old days?
