I'm guessing someone in this forum can answer this for me: If a person were to purchase a firearm at auction in the UK, how difficult would it be to have it imported into the US? And roughly how much would it cost? I'm guessing that there must be some dealers who specialize in this sort of thing? Pete

Contact Champlin Firearms, they've handled mine in the past

Here's a rundown on the process, with some good links: http://www.losttarget.com/importing.htm Cheers, Doug

I've imported 3 doubles. I used BSA for the first one and Champlins for the 2nd and 3rd. It's going to cost a couple thousand plus depending on the value of the gun/rifle. Count on it costing more than you plan. BSA did ok but I'd use Champlins again for my next one. Call Judy and she will walk you through it.

Its fairly straightforward. Champlins or Griffin and Howe can also do it.
