This past weekend there was a big bore rifle clinic held at the Flying B Ranch in Idaho. I got an email about it a couple of months ago and thought about attending but did not, mostly because there's just not a convenient way to travel to ID from here (13 or so hours of travel time each way) that I could justify for such a short visit. Butch Searcy, Keith Atcheson, and others were giving lessons and such on using double rifles in dangerous game situations. Did any of you make it?

Would have gone, but I was 2,399 short. Really the time you get a flight out, miss a day of work, pay 2400. Its pretty expensive. I'd rather save for a hunt. Ed DRSS Member

$2400 to attend a live info-mercial for one double rifle maker, one bolt rifle maker and one outfitter/travel specialist seemed a bit much. When it comes right down to it, the collective expertise and experience at any DRSS shoot is much more objective, impartial, extensive and valuable. SCI Life Member DSC Life Member

Maybe it's coincidence but doesn't Flying B stand for Flying Bullshit? Reading about this event left my mouth agape. You gotta be shitting me!

I agree that this seemed pretty expensive to me too. My funds are spread thin on several other projects, so I did not go either. But I would like to here about it from someone that was there before listening to everyone downgrade it and bitch about it when they did not even attend it.
