The 500/416 is an excellent double rifle calibre.

Tom, that can be said for any Flanged DR just about anywhere. With the possible execption of 9.3x74 and 470NE. Most gunshops do not stock even these "common/popular" rounds. What about your 425 Express? How many of those are running around?

I have a Krieghoff 500/416 and have really enjoyed the rifle. It is probably a perfect double for a client on a safari. However, being an inveterate gun trader am ready for something different and am considering selling my rifle. It is in great condition and I have the soft take-down case, factory sling, 50 each Woodleigh 410 grain soft and solid, 100 new unprimed cases as well as some once fired WR cases and RCBS reloading dies. I would take $9,000.00 for the lot.

Tomo loses more ammunition than any 10 guys I've ever heard of. Either that, or he doesn't like to travel with ammo because it's too heavy. Wink

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! Wow!! What an attractive offer. Damn! You couldn't keep enjoying it, for say 2 more years? That way I can get it.
Hopefully HK will get it, then we can get field reports.

Apparently it's the DR ballistic twin to the Rigby.
DR's are getting to be more of a must have for me.
