A Francotte double rifle in 475 N°2 is being auctioned off today. Not a new rifle, but in good condition. Anson lock. What should it be worth? _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.

Wink, that's a tough question. I've seen Francottes go from $14,000 to $60,000. All depends on the build level.

I have had some experience with Francotte doubles, now I'm not particularly a German or Austrian fan when it comes to doubles but the Francotte doubles I have shot and worked on were the best of the best, they are damn well made and they balance perfectly..I can't think of a better double at any price.... Francotte is Belgian. André DRSS --------- 3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact. 5 shots are a group.
