I just got this message from a friend of Bob Studen. Sad news.
I am grateful to have shared time with him a 4K on our DRSS hunts. A kind man, who brightened our gatherings! Just wanted to pass this along.

It is with deep sadness that I must inform you that Robert (Bob) Studen passed away on March 14th. Bob was a dear friend of mine for the past 20 years. He will be waked on Sunday, March 18th at Walker Funeral Home in Merrick, NY from 7 - 9 PM. The funeral will be held on Monday, March 19th at 10:45 AM at Sacred Heart Church which he faithfully attended.

Bob was my very close friend from LOOOOOOOOOOOg Island! A nicer guy you will never meet! His health dealt him some blows in his late life with two botched knee replacements that severely hindered his hunting, a pastime he dearly loved. I can’t say how empty our lodge will be without Bob at our DRSS get-together/hunt in future!

Ladies and gentlemen AR and DRSS, and the hunting fraternity in general has suffered a great loss with this sad news!

I, do not believe I had the pleasure of meeting Bob at the last DRSS hunt, But judging by the caliber of those in attendance, I am sure he was a fine gentleman and will be missed.
RIP.

Nitro I have several pictures of Bob but I have no idea how to post them here!
I can’t remember but I don’t think Bob was at the last DRSS hunt at 4K. I still have a lot of pictures from that hunt in one of my digital cameras but there are none of Bob so I’m sure he wasn’t there! Too bad because you would have liked him immediately!
