What is the proper way to store a double with ejectors if you want to store it broken down to two pieces?

Interested in hearing if you guys leave the triggers cocked, etc. Take the pressure off the triggers using snap caps then separating the sections, etc.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

I store it un cocked as in I release them

I sometimes use a soft copper type coin pressed hard against the face of the gun and pull each trigger, however I was told it is better to use the snap caps.

I release the tension with snap caps and if the rifle has a pad I store it muzzle down.
