I picked up the new VC 500 NE yesterday. I was dying to shoot it. I left the office early, got my things and headed to the range. I got there and couldn't get through the gate. I could not believe it. I was dying.

Why me? Lol! I hope this isn't a bad omen.

Are you kidding me! Good Lord!

I would have shot it off the porch, the patio, the veranda or something! Police couldn't hold that against you under these circumstances.

DUDE that is worse than withholding food from a starving man! Heck it's even worse than denying a drink to a drying but raging alcoholic! Wink

Once upon a time I had a brand new .470 NE burning a hole in it's case needing to be shot, I was delayed and unable to shoot it for two weeks after it's arrival. The moment finally arrived and I eagerly packed up my stuff and headed to the range. Upon arriving at the firing line I proudly and with no small amount of pomp and circumstance unveiled my royal arm to the unwashed unworthy masses that were in attendance. After giving a short speech to all on the rareness, extreme power, and awesome killing capabilities, and the necessity of extra strength and manhood needed in order to fire my rare and manly new rifle, I sauntered over to my range bag and...

Desperately searched my bag for my one and only box of ammo that was still sitting on kitchen counter 45 miles away at home.

And can you believe that not one single solitary shooter, unwashed and unworthy as they are, had any spare .470NE ammo for loan! Wink Big Grin

Hero to zero in 3.1 seconds!!

I feel for you brother!

Been there, done that for both of the above anecdotes! Not with an unworthy cartridge like the 470 though, with the 500NE!
Peter.
PS, Did Homer really say that? What is Greek for "DUH"?
